UT AD/PR Major Meghan Christopher Named “Emerging Professional for 2021” By PRSA Tampa Bay

The PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter 2021 “Emerging Professional” award for an outstanding public relations student at the University of Tampa has been presented to Palm Harbor native and University of Tampa Advertising/Public Relations Major Meghan Christopher.
“I am extremely grateful to have received the honor of being the PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter’s Emerging Professional of 2021,” said Meghan, who will start her senior year at UT in the fall. “My experience as the president of the University of Tampa’s PRSSA has heightened my passion for public relations. I look forward to starting a career in public relations and cannot thank PRSA Tampa Bay enough for this honor.”
Meghan has thrown herself headlong into perfecting her knowledge and skills in public relations and has been adding to her PR toolkit as an advertising and public relations intern for Lutz-based Hannah’s Shoebox while maintaining an exemplary academic record and working 24/7 to rebuild the UT Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
In her introductory remarks for the presentation of the award, Associate Professor Juliet Davis, program director for UT’s Advertising and Public Relations Program, said, “We are so fortunate to have the support of the Public Relations Society of America Tampa Bay. This organization’s generosity makes a big impact on our students' lives and careers, and we are endlessly grateful for their work.”

PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter President-elect Kaley Infield, APR, commented, “On behalf of our Board of Directors and more than 200 Chapter members, we are pleased to recognize Meghan for her accomplishments. PRSA is dedicated to advancing the field of public relations and helping to launch successful careers.
