The PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter 2023 “Emerging Professional” award recognizing an outstanding public relations student at the University of Tampa has been presented to Caroline Diamond of Derry, New Hampshire.

“I am extremely grateful to have received the honor of being the PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter’s Emerging Professional for 2023,” said Caroline, who is graduating in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in advertising and public relations, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in design. “As the last semester of my undergrad is wrapping up, I can’t help but feel emotional that such an amazing experience is coming to an end.

In addition, to the PRSA Tampa Bay recognition, Caroline also has been awarded the PRSA Sunshine District PRSSA to PRSA Membership Scholarship, which supports her first two years of membership in her local Public Relations Society of America/PRSA professional chapter. And, as further proof of her commitment to success, she is graduating with an exemplary academic record while also working as president of the UT Chapter, Public Relations Student Society of America.

As a representative of the PRSA Tampa Bay Board of Directors, University of Tampa Assistant Professor Lina Gomez-Vasquez saluted Caroline’s accomplishments saying, “On behalf of our Board of Directors and more than 200 Chapter members, we are pleased to recognize Caroline for her accomplishments. PRSA is dedicated to advancing the field of public relations and helping to launch successful careers. We wish her the best of luck and look forward to welcoming her to this wonderful field of practitioners.”

The future of the public relations profession lies in the hands of today’s public relations students. The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is proud to recognize these rising superstars and to annually identify students whose accomplishments are a clear indication of an “Emerging Professional” in the field of public relations.
